As my companion

Originally from a rain forest,

I attempted to locate myself on a dry climate

And live like my companion does.

I allowed my youngest form

To be drifted by the wind

And be carried away

By its intangible manner

So it could transfer me.

After being on the area of infinite sun

I allowed my youngest form

To dive in the sand,

So it could sprout roots and thorns

And feed on the everlasting heat.

No roots arose

My body was inexistent,

Perhaps I had to dive more

And on dry climate

could my body restore

Attempt after attempt

The days became monotonous

My companion sprouted

But never could I compare.

Originally from a rainforest,

I attempted to locate myself on a dry climate

Never could I grow

For hardy, my attempts

For our roots are not the same

nor our spine

nor our name
