To fly

In the flock of birds,

I was an eagle,

and while they learned to fly,

I was meandering the skies

I grabbed their premature wings and

Dispersed their feathers

in hope of enlightening them to their

ultimate goal

But still

They cried in fear

I was a wicked beast to their eyes.

A sorceress that lacked Grounding

In a community that aimed for the heavens

I cried in the pain of misapprehension,

I cried amidst the perplexity that surrounded this community

For I was feared when I sought to be revered

And so they never learned how to fly,

For they did not allow themselves so

My teachings they abhorred

They only seemed to flutter

When they could learn how to soar
